Plush Hill Cycles Servicing and Repair
At Plush Hill we do our best to get you rolling again when something goes wrong, however, we do have to prioritise pre-booked appoitments and with limited storage we can't always take unbooked bikes in. If you have an urgent repair issue feel free to contact us and we can make a plan to get you back on the road/trails.
Please note that at busy times, such as summer, we do have longer workshop lead times. The Workshop lead time varies throughout the year with Summer lead times stretching out up to 4-6 weeks ahead dependent on level of the work and parts availability so please plan ahead. Go onto Book My Bike In to check the latest dates and book a slot for a service or repair.
All servicing work is completed by a Cytech qualified, experienced and professional mechanic. Our workshop and mechanic are very accessible so if you ever have any questions that you want to ask, whether it be about jobs or bike set up, just ask. The fully equipped workshop, where we use Park Tools, carries a good range of Shimano and SRAM parts as well as all the common brake pads and some of the lesser ones too.
We are happy to do any job from fixing a puncture to custom building a bike. It can be fine tuning a supermarket special, replacing the bearings on a top end suspension bike or race prepping a penny farthing. Mountain or road, big or small, old or new, we are happy to take a look. If it is beyond servicing we will let you know or if it is beyond our capabilities we will happily point you in the right direction.
All workshop repairs usually need to be booked in advance, though where possible we will do emergency repairs to keep you running or get you home. Please contact the shop before bringing your bike in as space is at a premium. Sometimes when bikes are brought in for work they may require additional work and or parts but we will always contact you first for your approval to go ahead.

Shimano Service Centre Mechanics Championships 2023
What do we know about fixing bikes? Well since before we opened in 2010, we have been investing in training and the right tools to help get the job done, building our knowledge and experience every season makes us more efficient in getting you rolling again. When the opportunity came up to join the Shimano Service Centre network, it was just what we were looking for, an industry leader that would offer ongoing training and challenge us on the standard of what we delivered.
Now in 2023 we find ourselves taking part in the Shimano Service Centre Premium programme to offer same day warranty service on STEPS motors and speed up the warranty service we can offer to all our customers. In October our workshop manager Allen was invited to take part in the first Mechanics Championships and came away with a very respectable result against the top 20 mechanics in the network.
We were thrilled to take part in the Shimano Service Centre Mechanic Championships recently where we pitted ourselves against some of the best bike mechanics across the UK and Ireland. Hosted by Adam Blythe and judged by Shimano the standard was high and the competition was fierce. Watch how the day unfolded as we competed for the title of the best Shimano bike mechanic in the country.
