Transition Bikes 2017: Pure PHC Speculation

2016_Transition_Bikes_01We have just received our last drop of 2016 Transition Patrols and stock is starting to get a bit thin on Smugglers and Scouts, there are still some stock, its best to get in touch for the latest availability on frames and builds.

We can’t help but speculate as to what Transition has in store for us for 2017. We have a few ideas, first up, as it was delayed we suspect that the Carbon Patrol will remain unchanged, same colour, tweak free other than maybe the shock standard changing to the new Rockshox metric standard.

So will we see any addition Carbon Transitions in 2017? Maybe a Carbon Smuggler or Scout? We think that the Smuggler has the most to gain in losing weight and adding stiffness, not that it’s a problem on the aluminium frame but we would love to see a Carbon Smuggler. As for a Carbon Scout, well the Scout has always been a great Trail bike, fun handling and very capable, lighting the frame weight will only make this bike more fun, agile and capable.

With the partnership with FMD Racing on the world DH circuit will we see the development of a carbon TR500? We hope to see a TR600, taking the TR500 and giving it some Giddy up treatment and maybe a carbon lay up?

So what’s the fastest colour for 2017? Safetey Orange, Highligher Yellow have been iconic over the past couple of seasons, TR Blue always a favourite. We would love to see the return of the Purple one, maybe on our new Carbon Smuggler? Or maybe just raw, raw aluminium and raw carbon finishes with a hint of TR Blue? Either way we are excited to see where we go next

All of the above is based on pure speculation and at the time of posting have had no info on the 2017 Transition Bikes range so it may turn out to be rubbish, watch this space, we will bring you the new frames as soon as they land. #giddyup
